CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

MotiveLogic Corp., which provides service management solutions for dealership  fixed operations, announced recently that it has brought in a former Manheim executive to serve as its president and chief operating officer.

Named to the position is Jas Baas, who was Manheim’s director of operations before coming aboard at MotiveLogic. Baas’ duties in the new role include helping to boost the company’s footprint among dealers and dealer groups via marketing and operational measures.

“Jay’s leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of the market make him a wonderful asset and an excellent fit for this position,” said MotiveLogic co-founder and chief executive Gregg Gerdau.

“His passion for the industry will greatly enable us in our goal of growing auto dealer service department revenues and market share by providing real-time business intelligence to improve and sustain profitability, productivity and teamwork,” Gerdau continued.

Baas added: “With current industry conditions, auto dealers’ fixed operations is a definite bright spot with tremendous unrealized growth potential. MotiveLogic helps auto dealers tap this potential and break the barriers to profit.

“The MotiveLogic software service platform targets automotive service with real-time business intelligence to improve and sustain profitability, productivity and teamwork. Its results are unequaled, and I am very excited to be part of the future growth of the automotive service market,” Baas continued.

Officials noted that before his role as Manheim director of operations, Baas was Manheim’s director of special projects.

Prior to his Manheim days, Baas was interim vice president of operations with True2Form Collision Repair Centers. In this role, he offered leadership as AutoBody America stories integrated into True2Form sites after True2Form acquired the company.

He had been president and general manager at AutoBody America.

Baas’ experience also includes time with Ohio Casualty Group, working in positions including assistant vice president and vice president of the claim operation.
