VIN Viper Releases New Android Appraisal App
Selig Technologies announced Thursday that its VIN Viper Mobile Application Suite now is available on another platform.
Along with functionality on iPhone and Windows mobile platforms, VIN Viper also can operate on Android.
Selig recapped that VIN Viper is a mobile appraising tool designed to enable dealers to scan a vehicle identification number and instantly appraise vehicles.
Furthermore, VIN Viper dealers can integrate their existing Carfax, Manheim MMR and Facebook accounts for free and optionally add premium data values from other sources such as Black Book, NADA Used Car Guide and Kelley Blue Book.
Dealers can download VIN Viper and register for free at VINViper.com, the Android Market or iTunes.
After registration, users can access the features VIN Viper offers, including VIN decoding, Facebook integration, capturing multiple photos and creating appraisal notes for each unit.
Mentioning another feature the company believes is unique to the industry, SeligTech’s VIN Viper mobile appraisal suite includes a desktop version that can automatically sync with the VIN Viper mobile app and can be viewed simultaneously.
Once a VIN has been scanned using VIN Viper, authorized users can log in to the secure site and access vehicle data, appraisal reports and photos.
Jason Seligman, president of SeligTech, emphasized that dealers in the back office can now see what the buyers in the field are appraising in real time.
“We are very excited to release our new Android app to automotive professionals,” Seligman stressed.
“There is a tremendous demand for the Android app. Many dealers were frustrated they couldn’t access our popular iPhone app on their Android phone,” he acknowledged.
“We responded to the market and built the only fully native Android app for automotive appraising. We are excited to finally fill that gap in the mobile appraising market,” Seligman went on to say.
