A month after launching its new Craiglist tool to existing clients, AutoRevo highlighted how much the enhancement has boosted dealers’ inventory listings online.

Among the performance improvements AutoRevo noted:

—Only 9 percent of postings are getting “ghosted.” The company explained “ghosting” is the term applied when users make a post on Craigslist and the system tells you the post has been published but never appears on the front page of the popular shopping site.

—A 22-percent increase in post views on Craigslist.

—A 107-percent increase in traffic to a dealer’s website from Craigslist.

—A 100-percent increase in the click-through rate from Craigslist to a dealer’s website.

AutoRevo believes what triggered these improved metrics were a series of tool improvements, including:

—Multiple Updated Templates: With 20 unique templates to choose, dealers can either pick a template they like or set the system to cycle through the options. AutoRevo contends it’s easier to avoid ghosting when dealers post with random templates.

—New Craigslist Dashboard: Dealers can see exactly what’s going on with every listing. Postings can be sorted by columns showing active, flagged, ghosted and expired listings. The company said dealers can quickly see which vehicles need attention with a new “Needs Attention” callout.

“We rolled out the new update for current customers almost a month ago, and the results have been amazing,” declared Chad Polk, AutoRevo’s chief executive officer. “We asked what dealers wanted, and the overwhelming response was they wanted a better Craigslist tool.
