As dealers use the Web more for wholesale purchases, a new site is attempting to push the entire retail buying process online.

Cars Out The Door rolled out a solution Tuesday intended to deliver free, unlimited Internet leads to dealerships.

The goal of Cars Out The Door 1.0 is to move every aspect of selling and purchasing process online so there is no interaction between buyer and dealer until after the buying decision has been made.

Beginning now, dealers can instantly become a participating member by signing up on Cars Out The Door’s homepage. Site officials insisted the solution requires no dealer contracts, no upfront fees, no access to the dealer’s database and dealers pay a fee only when a vehicle is delivered.

The homepage indicates the tool is powered by NADA Used Car Guide, Chrome and Carfax.

Cars Out The Door emphasized the driving principle behind this new website is to create an environment where dealers do not bid against each other.

Instead, the site said each dealer can provide just one price quote per buyer, an out-the-door price quote that includes everything — trade-in, taxes, tag, title and all dealer fees.

If the dealer does not have the buyer’s requested vehicle in inventory, Cars Out The Door stressed these stores can still compete for the business by simply indicating the number of days required for vehicle ordering.

To protect everyone’s interests, the site emphasized both the buyer and dealer are kept anonymous until the buying decision is made.

In addition, each dealer’s price quotes are visible only to the respective buyers versus other dealers. The entire process takes place within Cars Out The Door’s website and is time limited to 48 hours.

“Car buyers and car dealers both want the best from the Internet, and now they have it,” declared Mike Marini, Cars Out The Door founder and chief executive officer.
