EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -

GE Capital Fleet Services recently revealed it has expanded its relationship with Carfax and will report more history information to the company in an effort to provide the wholesale market with greater access to more data.

Now, dealers and buyers at auction will have access to Carfax Vehicle History Reports on GE Fleet units that include vehicle sales records and service histories, as well as auction-announced and accident management program damage records.

Paul Seger, vice president of asset remarketing at GE Fleet offered his take on the recent news: “This is a decisive choice that makes the remarketing and acquisition process better for everyone.

“Carfax shares our concern for proper representation of the quality and condition of our vehicles. With their help, the accuracy and detail of the information we make available to our buyers on Carfax reports is second to none,” he continued.

GE Fleet has been working with Carfax since 2003 and chose to expand the information reported to the company in an effort to “increase the reliability of structural damage disclosures and improve the integrity of future transactions,” officials noted.

Lastly, Dave Sutton, national director at Carfax, highlighted the potential value of the company’s reports, noting, “Carfax Vehicle History Reports are a critical tool in the wholesale market.

“When buyers and sellers have equal access to vehicle history information from a trusted third party source, the result is a more efficient market where everyone wins,” he explained.
