SALT LAKE CITY -

November is shaping up to be a “buyer’s market” for remaining 2011 model-year vehicles, according to Vehix, which said dealers are still trying to move these units off their lots.

Moreover, dealers are also starting to offer some deals on 2012 models, as well. With these trends as a backdrop, Vehix picked out what it considers to be the best offers for new vehicles across a variety of categories.

In crafting the list, Vehix editors studied the best incentives and rebate deals of the month. They also considered the following segments when searching for the best deals of the month:  family sedans, pickup trucks, minivans, small SUVs and convertibles, finding that both domestic and foreign OEMs are ramping up deals in preparation for the new year.

Breaking down the segments, Vehix found that for family sedans, the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Malibu offer the biggest cash discounts among the choices on Vehix.com. Both of these models included a $3,000 cash incentive or zero percent financing.

As for pickup trucks, the 2011 Chevy Silverago 1500 and 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 topped the list, offering a $4,505 cash incentive or zero-percent financing.

And for those families in the market for a minivan, the best three deals on the market are the 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, the 2012 Nissan Quest and the 2012 Kia Sedona, according to Vehix.

The Kia model, for example, offers $2,500 bonus cash and $1,500 customer loyalty cash.

For smaller SUVs, the 2011 Nissan Murano made the list, with $2,500 in cash incentives. The Jeep Patriot also made the cut, offering $2,000 cash incentive or financing from zero to 1.9 percent

Lastly, for consumers who are in the market for a convertible, the top three deals, according to Vehix, are the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, the 2012 BMW 3 Series Convertible and the 2012 Ford Mustang Convertible.

“It’s a great time to buy a new car,” said Michael Waterman, Vehix executive editor. “Many manufacturers are offering zero-percent interest and cash incentives on all types of 2011 vehicles that are still on dealer lots.”

Vehicx is also offering local incentives information that is matched to a visitor’s zip code, via the site.

That said, company officials insist the Vehix Car Deals “are not purely a numbers game.”

Vehix editors explained that they try to choose vehicles they would recommend to friends and family or drive themselves.

As a result, besides the attractive prices November might bring, the site took “crash-test and reliability ratings, strong long-term value, and a pleasurable driving experience,” into account, as well, officials stressed.

“New-car buyers usually have a few vehicles in mind as they start their search. But identifying and comparing the best deals for specific makes and models during a specific month can become a tedious task,” Waterman said.

“Our car deals articles pinpoint savings on quality vehicles to help buyers save time and money,” he concluded.
