DALLAS -

Inventory management and marketing solutions company Liquid Motors has chosen a former DealerTrack executive as its new vice president of business development.

Tapped for the position is John Fitzgerald, who brings more than 15 years of sales experience in the automotive industry to the company.

In his new position, Fitzgerald will work with the Liquid Motors executive team to “develop business relationships with medium and large dealer groups who wish to leverage the Liquid Motors wholesale and retail marketing platforms,” the company explained.

Further commenting on the new hire, Michael Daseke, Liquid Motors’ president and chief executive officer, said, "John’s extensive automotive experience selling to and working within auto dealer groups, along with strong recommendations from prior companies on his abilities makes him a great addition to the Liquid Motors management team.

"His ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships with medium and large dealer groups aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategies," he added.

And as for Fitzgerald’s background in the industry, most recently he worked at AutoNation, focusing on growing its AutoNation Direct initiative.

Before joining AutoNation, Fitzgerald worked for more than eight years at DealerTrack where he was director of national accounts.
