MONCKS CORNER, S.C. -

Charleston Auto Auction is teaming up with Automotive Rentals Inc. to honor the military during a special sales event later this week.

In addition to approximately 1,000 vehicles being up for sale, the event will include a free breakfast to start the day then a performance from the American Legion Color Guard, who will present the colors and play “Salute to the Armed Forces.”

Each branch of the military will be recognized. The American Legion Color Guard will play the National Anthem to wrap up its performance.

More than 500 dealers are expected to attend the sale, which will include around 1,000 units, 90 of which are from ARI.

A “Support Our Troops” military style hat will be given to each dealer buying a vehicle from ARI, as well as each veteran attending the event.

Veterans will be treated to a complimentary lunch, as well.

“When Brian McBrearty with ARI suggested this promotion, we knew it was a great fit for our auction,” commented Laura Taylor, general manager at Charleston AA, which has more than 40 veterans (representing all branches) on its staff.

In addition to the strong veteran presence at Charleston AA, parent group American Auto Auction Group has a program aiming to bring in more veterans to work at its auctions.

Charleston AA is located in Moncks Corner, S.C., and hosts weekly sales each Friday at 10 a.m. EST.
