CARMEL, Ind. -

Automotive Finance Corp. revealed the grand prize winner of its Fee Free Flooring for a Year Contest Tuesday.

Winning the campaign was Said Barzegar of Eurosport Auto located in San Jose, Calif., a rooftop serviced by AFC Cal’s San Francisco branch overseen by Tony Souza.

Officials highlighted Eurosport Auto has been an AFC customer since 1998.

AFC regional manager Johnny Shroyer along with Souza and the entire AFC San Francisco team announced the news during a party for Barzegar and his staff at ADESA Golden Gate on Monday. They celebrated with an AFC cake and presented Barzegar a supersized check for $25,000 commemorating AFC’s 25th Anniversary and his free flooring.

The company recapped the Fee Free Flooring for a Year grand prize features no interest and no floor plan fees for a year, saving Barzegar up to $25,000. All AFC dealers within the United States and Canada, excluding Quebec, were eligible to enter the contest, and Barzegar’s dealership was drawn among thousands of entries.

“I’ve been with AFC for a little over 14 years. I started out buying and selling Porsches using my personal credit card,” Barzegar recounted. “AFC took a chance on me and my new business, and set us up with a small credit line. Through the ups and downs, AFC has been there for me and for my business, helping us to grow and be more successful. Starting out, it was just me. Now we have 10 wholesalers working for Eurosport Auto and a large AFC credit line.

“Thank you AFC — $25,000 in fee and interest free flooring will go a long way,” he declared.

The Fee Free Flooring for a Year campaign is the second national promotion AFC has launched since beginning its 25th anniversary celebrations.

Back in December, Bret Gilbert of Premium Pre-Owned Autos in East Peoria, Ill., won a trip for two to Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI through AFC’s Big Game Giveaway.

“Congratulations Said and thanks to all our customers for supporting this exciting campaign. We are thrilled with the results. Stay tuned for more excitement as we continue to celebrate AFC’s 25th anniversary throughout 2012,” AFC officials stated.

AFC Rolls Out its Enhanced RV Inventory Financing Product Nationwide

In other company news, AFC recently expanded its inventory finance product offerings to include more options for its recreational vehicle dealers.

Having offered financing solutions for independent dealers’ vehicle purchases for 25 years, AFC believes it has an opportunity to better meet the needs of RV dealers looking to finance their used inventory.

Officials pointed out a key feature of AFC’s RV inventory financing includes no restrictions on the type of RV unit a dealer can purchase — no make, model or year constraints.

“Many providers only finance a dealer’s new RV inventory,” explained Neill Waters, director of business development for AFC, “and we consequently saw many RV dealers seeking financing that better met their used RV purchasing needs.”

AFC will advance 100 percent of an RV dealer’s auction purchases at more than 1,000 AFC approved auctions.

Officials contend AFC’s financing also gives RV customers the flexibility to finance trades.

With AFC’s RV Financing, dealers can have an extended period of time to pay-off their units on floor plan for used inventory purchased from auction or taken in on trade. AFC’s RV financing applies to used motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheel campers and other towable units.

“Our RV Inventory Financing Program was developed based on the feedback we received from our current RV customers. It’s now available throughout North America, both the U.S. and Canada,” Waters added.

“The RV Program is consistent with AFC’s strategy to find new and better ways to service its dealer customers, and enable them to operate more profitably,” he went on to say.

The RV product is just one of several initiatives being rolled out in celebration of AFC’s 25th anniversary.

Earlier this year, AFC unveiled its new website AFCDealer.com that features online floor planning capability.
