Porsche Cars North America Chooses Provider for Off-Lease Inspections
Porsche Cars North America/Porsche Financial Services revealed this week it has chosen an exclusive provider of off-lease vehicle inspections.
Chosen for the position is floorplan inventory verification and vehicle inspection company DataScan Field Services.
The company contends that by selecting DataScan, “Porsche reinforces its commitment to developing a stronger, more transparent end-of-lease process.
“DataScan’s technology-driven inspection services offer Porsche greater efficiency and a better experience for both dealers and consumers alike,” officials continued.
DataScan also revealed some news that may prove to be of interest to Porsche dealers around the country.
As a part of the customization process for new clients, DataScan said it enhanced a website portal for PCNA called Porsche 360.
The company contends the new offering provides the automaker’s 193 North American dealers with “an interface to help retain lessees during the lease-end process.”
Commenting on the enhancement, Brent Sergot, vice president and general manager of DataScan noted, “We custom designed Porsche 360 to specifically address Porsche’s lease-end needs, to make the process more user-friendly and provide our clients with better tools so their customers keep coming back.
“Porsche 360 was built with the capability of future enhancements and usages, and we look forward to a technical partnership with Porsche that can continuously benefit its customers,” he continued.
Highlighting the new offering, the company noted that with the updates provided by DataScan, Porsche 360 allows dealers to conduct a “pre-inspection” approximately four months before lease-end, and record the information onto the site.
“Dealers can then help customers prepare proactively for their lease termination, including facilitating the purchase or lease of a new Porsche and assessing possible excess wear charges or repairs needed before turning in the vehicle,” officials further explained.
Representatives from PCNA also expressed their enthusiasm for the new offering.
“The new Porsche 360 website is extremely robust and user-friendly,” said Michael Sanchez, manager of vehicle remarketing for PCNA.
“Our expectation is for our Porsche dealers to engage in the pre-inspection process quickly and find the new site intuitive enough to maneuver with ease. It will be important for our dealers to be comfortable with the site, in order for them to use it with regularity. Ultimately, our partnership with DataScan will positively impact our customer relationships at every touch-point. The increased efficiency will allow dealers to move more cars quicker and provide additional information for lessees to aid them in negotiating their next deal,” he concluded.
