American Recovery Association and RISC are holding free continuing education to benefit recovery and remarketing professionals this week, as is MasterFiles’ skip-tracing expert Alex Price.

The one-hour Webinars conducted by ARA and RISC are broken into three 20-minute sessions. They are geared to focus on the “color of the law,” how recovery agents can protect themselves from costly federal and state litigation and why third-party disclosure can be the skip-tracers enemy.

The Webinars are limited to ARA members and are scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m. EDT, as well as Thursday at 4 p.m. EDT

Meanwhile, MasterFiles’ Price in his role as national sales director and training manager of MasterFiles is holding free sessions titled, “Overcoming Skip-Tracing Obstacles.” They begin at noon ET daily through the rest of the week.

Price believes participants will learn how to profile skips and more, including these topics:

—the three types of skips.
—qualifications of a good skip-tracer.
—tools of a professional skip-tracer.
—cyber-tracking tools.

Following each session of “Overcoming Skip-Tracing Obstacles,” Price is going to provide a 30-minute follow-up session titled, “Skip Collecting with MasterFiles.”

Price has more than 25 years of skip-tracing, collections and public speaking. He joined the MasterFiles’ team as a consultant in May 2006. Later that same year, he accepted the position of national sales/training manager to bring the next generation of skip-tracing technology to the lending and recovery industries.

Price insisted that he combines old-school skip-tracing methods with new-age cyber-tracking technology to equip attendees with tools that he gained through invaluable experience.
