Barrett-Jackson to Auction off 6 Vehicles to Benefit National & Local Charities at Las Vegas Event
At an upcoming Las Vegas event, Barrett-Jackson will auction off six charity vehicles, the proceeds of which will go to a variety of nonprofits.
The vehicles will be available at the upcoming Las Vegas auction held at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Sept. 20–22.
"This year's Barrett-Jackson charity vehicles support some of the nation's most active and worthy causes," said Barrett-Jackson chairman and chief executive officer Craig Jackson.
"One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction for these six vehicles will help both people and animals that so desperately need it,” he added.
The Las Vegas auction charity vehicles, with commentary from auction officials, are as follows:
—Lot #2001 2005 Ford Mustang GT Platt & Payne Signature Edition: This is a Shadranch "Platt & Payne Edition" Mustang, which the company noted combines “unique styling, state-of-the-art components, unprecedented power and performance.” All proceeds to benefit the Darrell Gwynn Foundation. This vehicle will be sold at approximately 6 p.m. (PDT) this Thursday.
—Lot #2002 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 2-door Coupe: This is an official pace car from Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for American Le Mans Series event, as well as Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport, held July 20–22 of this year. All proceeds will benefit YMCA of Southern Nevada. This unit will be sold at approximately 1 p.m. this Friday.
—Lot #2003 2013 Cadillac ATS 4-door Sedan: “The 2012 Cadillac ATS compact luxury sports sedan is a world-class Cadillac like no other,” officials contend.
All proceeds will benefit Team Joseph. This vehicle will be sold at approximately 2:30 p.m. this Friday.
—Lot #2004 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door Hardtop: The company noted this is a rare 1955 Chevrolet 210 with less than 8,600 documented original miles. All proceeds will benefit Barrett-Jackson Cancer Research Fund – TGen and Festival of Hope. This unit Will be sold at approximately 1 p.m. this Saturday.
—Lot #2005 1970 Chevrolet Nova Custom 2-door Coupe: This car is a “frame-off rotisserie restoration in Pro-Touring style,” the company explained. All proceeds will benefit The Mission Continues, and it will be sold at approximately 3 p.m. this Saturday.
—Lot #2006 2012 Ford F-150 Custom Pickup: Highlighting this unit, the company noted this is a “custom Greg Biffle ROUSH Performance built Ford Raptor in support of the Sherwin-Williams Plant Color All-Star Charity Challenge.” All proceeds will benefit the Greg Biffle Foundation, and the unit will be sold at approximately 5 p.m. this Saturday.
The company also shared that even if you can’t go the auction, you can keep up with the happenings on your television.
The TV network SPEED will broadcast 20 hours of live, high-definition television coverage of the Las Vegas auction.
The hours will be from 4 p.m. (PDT) to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21; and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.
