2012 NRC Conference to Feature iRemarketing Presentation on Internet Trends & Tools
What’s in the cards for this year’s National Remarketing Conference presented by SmartAuction?
After kicking off with a quartet of workshops that delve into elements of the wholesale industry, Day 2 of the event — scheduled for Nov. 14–16 during the Used Car Week conferences — will feature an iRemarketing presentation, which will share the secrets behind online remarketing success.
But before the business begins, Thursday of Used Car Week (Nov. 15) will start with a breakfast with exhibitors, giving attendees a chance to check out the businesses presenting at the event.
At 10:15 a.m., the special iRemarketing presentation will begin, titled "iRemarketing: Going Direct to the Source."
The presentation will be led by Allison Lind, Mercedes-Benz USA; Tom Cornellier, Ford Motor Company; John Manchin, Subaru of America; and Rob Fecher, Mazda. More panel speakers will be announced leading up to the event.
After a quick break, a presentation that focuses on top trends in the used-car industry seen in 2012, as well as predictions for the upcoming year, will begin at 11:15 a.m. The discussion, titled, “Top Trends in the 2012 –2013 Used Car Industry: A discussion of critical wholesale and retail underpinnings with a focus on dealer consignment & CPO,” will be led by:
Greg Johnson, Larry H. Miller Group
Jack Anderson, West-Herr Automotive Group
Gene Detrick, Earnhardt Automotive Group
(Again, more speakers will be announced in the coming weeks)
And later in the afternoon, Auto Remarketing will be recognizing its 2012 Women in Remarketing honorees.
The 13 women honored this year represent an array of segments within the used-car and remarketing business, from auctions to OEMs to dealerships and more.
Next up, at 2:45 p.m., industry experts will touch on the fleet, lease and rental market. The presentation, titled, “Fleet, Lease and Rental Remarketing: A Fast-Changing Market,” will be led by Ken Smith, DTAG; Tim Martin, LeasePlan; and Darrin Aiken, Wheels.
Lastly, Day 2 of the event will finish with a Executive Suite presentation. Execs from various auction platforms and companies will discuss the current market, followed by a reception.
The panel will include Bob Rauschenberg, ADESA; Stephanie Gingras, DAA SouthWest; Steve Kapusta, SmartAuction/Ally Auto Remarketing; Mike Hockett, ABC; and Bob McConkey, AuctionEdge. More speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
