IARA Comes On Board for Auto Remarketing Canada 2013; Conference Website Up & Running
Auto Remarketing Canada 2013, sponsored by CarProof, continues to take shape as the conference website is up and running and early registration is underway.
And as Auto Remarketing Canada gears up for 2013, the organizers are pleased to announce they will be teaming up with the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance this year to bring you even more special workshops and sessions.
IARA Canada will be offering a closed meeting for vehicle consignors to gather and discuss issues impacting their business, and a general IARA session, which will provide an overall update on the association and will also include Canadian sub-committee presentations and updates.
“Through these sessions the IARA in turn will learn what subjects are important to the industry which will help steer the association’s focus for 2013 and beyond,” said Lisa Scott, IARA Canada co-chair and senior vice president at ADESA Canada.
Sharing enthusiasm for the recent news, conference chair Bill Zadeits added, “We’re very excited about having the IARA in Canada partner with the Auto Remarketing Canada Conference Presented by CarProof.
“The event has grown and matured to the point where it’s become ‘the’ gathering place for the most influential and successful dealers, managers and automotive industry executives and stakeholders in Canada. It makes perfect sense that we reach out and include our friends with IARA in Canada to strengthen the program even further,” he continued.
IARA officials also expressed their excitement for the upcoming event:
“The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance is an association whose membership consists of large and small vehicle remarketing consignors along with industry partners. IARA assists, educates and shares knowledge across the vehicle remarketing industry, so that each association member is empowered to maximize efficiencies with access to new ideas and best practice exchanges that will engender continuous improvement of processes and procedures,” said Steve Macaluso, IARA Canada co-chair and director of corporate accounts at CarProof.
“IARA Canada was started in Canada In 2012, and in its inaugural year, we received great response and membership growth. We are very excited about the opportunity to be involved with this year’s Auto Remarketing Canada conference in April. The annual conference is a great venue to share our vision and collect new ideas from remarketers and suppliers alike,” he continued.
Zadeits also stressed the importance of IARA Canada’s offering to dealers and others in the industry as well as what their presence means for the upcoming conference.
“The importance of pre-owned sales and service to health of the dealership’s bottom line continues to increase. Our goal will be to provide the best information, data, techniques and strategies to help dealers increase their pre-owned sales and profits from start to finish,” Zadeits said.
“The members of the IARA are a critically important component to the full remarketing lifecycle as they represent a significant portion of the supply of vehicles available to dealers in the wholesale market. Auto Remarketing Canada will be a great opportunity for all of us to learn more and grow our businesses in an effective manner.”
Josh Bailey, IARA Canadian press and public relations lead, and vice president of research and editorial for Canadian Black Book, touched on what he sees as the value to attending Auto Remarketing Canada 2013 Presented by CarProof.
“The IARA is excited to be part of the ARC conference because it attracts a great audience of consignors and others companies involved in the remarketing of vehicles. It is a great venue to share what the IARA is already working on and also learn what new issues we can help resolve or bring upon attention to work towards resolving,” he concluded.
