Carfax Offers Free Ad Resource Kit for Dealers, Partners With Dominion on Vehicle Videos

From logos to video clips, dealers have new advertising resources available to them via a just-launched Carfax site. This week, Carfax announced the launch of its new website designed to assist dealers, through their advertising, in building confidence with potential car buyers by leveraging the Carfax brand.
The company said more than eight out of 10 used-car shoppers now recognize the Carfax brand, since the company’s launch of the ‘Show Me the Carfax’ campaign and Carfax Advantage Dealer program.
“Knowing up front if a dealer uses Carfax helps influence where buyers choose to shop,” said Larry Gamache, communications director at Carfax. “We’ve made it easy for subscribing dealers to combine our brand with their reputation anywhere they advertise.
“Using these free assets, our dealer customers and their agencies are creating powerful ads that build consumer confidence and drive more customers to their stores,” Gamache said.
Carfax-subscribing dealers and their ad agencies can access the website via their account login at www.carfaxonline.com, and obtain a catalog of free advertising assets that let used-car shoppers know they’re partnered with Carfax.
The resources include Carfax logos, Car Fox images, video clips and social media content, all free to download and use. The site also features full, customizable ad campaigns to help promote unique sales events, the company said, such as the popular Carfax 1-Owner sale.
Samples of dealer ads leveraging the Carfax brand are posted on the company’s website.
Dominion, Carfax Partner on Vehicle Videos
In related news, Dominion Dealer Solutions announced this week it has partnered with Carfax to provide more detailed information about used cars in its Real Vehicle Video solution.
“Adding vehicle-specific information from Carfax to the end of Real Vehicle Videos helps turn viewers into buyers,” said Glen Garvin, vice president of Dominion Dealer Solutions. “People trust Carfax to help alleviate their concerns and buy with greater confidence. Videos are so much more valuable when sellers provide useful information that appeals to potential buyers.”
Fifty-two percent of consumers claim that watching product videos boosted their confidence in a purchase decision, reported Internet Retailer.
Dominion’s industry-first Real Vehicle Video combines advanced technology with company-exclusive video content, customized tagging, keywords and descriptions. Including Carfax information as well through the video can help dealers stand out from their competition, the company said.
“Carfax information is one of the key things online shoppers look for in a vehicle listing,” said Carfax’s Gamache. “Online videos offer a unique platform for dealers to showcase the merits of a vehicle’s past. The enhanced Real Vehicle Video helps meet the needs of dealers and the expectations of the online shopper.”
