CARMEL, Ind. -

NextGear Capital hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday to usher in an addition to its corporate campus in Carmel, Ind.

The company has expanded its campus with a new building designed to help it accommodate ongoing growth, it says.

"We are extremely excited to be expanding our corporate campus in Carmel," said Brian Geitner, president of NextGear Capital. "We have seen solid growth in our customer base over the past couple of years, and this expansion will allow us to continue providing the solutions necessary to service our customers as they continue to grow their businesses."

Geitner dedicated the facility, which expands NextGear’s campus to 80,000 square feet. He announced during the event that the company plans on bringing in 225 additional jobs during the next year-and-a-half to two years.

Headquarters currently has 200 employees, and NextGear’s nationwide employee count is more than 400.

More than 100 people were at the ceremony, with state and local dignitaries in attendance. Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was the keynote speaker.

"Indiana's business climate is a magnet for high-growth companies across the country," said Pence. "Our first-rate workforce, fiscal stability and low tax structure continue to position the Hoosier State for additional growth from well-respected firms like NextGear Capital. Indiana is open for business!"

Additional speakers mentioned by the company were Manheim president Sandy Schwartz and Carmel Mayor James Brainard.
