MT. LAUREL, N.J. -

Receiving some kudos for their community outreach, ARI and Team Holman have been recognized as top fundraisers for autism awareness for the fourth straight year.

The Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of Autism Speaks named ARI and Team Holman as the top fundraising team for 2012 in the Southern New Jersey Walk Now for Autism Speaks, honoring the team during a ceremony held Feb. 22 in Almonesson, N.J.

The award goes to individual or corporate teams that expend extra effort in raising funds and increasing autism awareness, ARI reported in a press release.

In 2012, ARI and participants from its parent company, Holman Automotive Group Inc., became the first organization to raise more than $40,000 for the cause, and ranked as top fundraiser for the fourth consecutive year.

Fundraising events for the most recent autism awareness campaign included a corporate-wide silent auction, T-shirt sales, dress down days, and raffles.

ARI and Holman Automotive note a strong culture of community service that stems from the company’s founder, Steward Holman, and includes work by the company and its employees in local events throughout the year.
