MEMPHIS and NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

City Enterprises, parent entity of City Auto and Dealers Auto Auction, along with Phil Hanks, former president of Primeritus Financial Services, created a joint collaboration resulting in the formation of Connect 1 Recovery, a full service collateral recovery company.

Connect 1 Recovery is headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., and operates in Maryland, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas and Arizona.

“Our acquisition and development of Connect 1 Recovery is a great strategic addition to our portfolio of companies,” said David Andrews, chief executive officer of City Enterprises.  "This formation allows us to expand our service offering to financial institution customers of the Dealers Auto Auction Group while also supporting sister companies within City Enterprises."

Hanks, who now is president of Connect 1 Recovery, said, “With over 60 years of repossession industry experience on our management team, our first goal is to provide customers with best-in-class service for their collateral recovery needs.

“We know how important training and compliance are to our customers, which is why we've undergone the strict vetting process to become a RISC Agent Alliance member."  Hanks continued. “All of our agents are W-2 employees, and we require all of our staff to successfully complete the CARS(r) Certification program as part of their training regimen.

"To keep our staff compliant we require everyone to complete the continuing education courses on an annual basis," he went on to say.

Connect 1 Recovery utilizes the Recovery Database Network (RDN) as its recovery management system. Hanks emphasized this system allows for a paperless operating environment and electronic communication platform to protect the lending institution's customers personally identifiable information (PII).
