In an interesting social media and marketing effort, Honda announce last week it is sponsoring a few of the big-name music festivals this year and offering attendees ways to connect through social media channels and contents throughout the season.

Honda will have major sponsorships at three music festivals this summers: Sasquatch! (May 24–27) at the Gorge in George, Wash., Governors Ball in New York City (June 7–9) and Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas, (Oct. 4–6; 11–13).  

And sponsorship is not all Honda has in store this summer.

As part of the festival support, Honda will be offering attendees the opportunity to win a 2013 Civic Sedan and VIP festival passes.

The OEM is also encouraging fans to share their experience with the #HondaStage hashtag and through Honda-branded Facebook and Twitter pages.
