ST. LOUIS -

Transportation logistics firm MetroGistics will hold its second annual Monster Mash Halloween fundraiser benefitting Project VIP (Very Important Pets), the Humane Society of Monroe County and the Humane Society of St. Clair County.

Last year’s event raised just over $18,000 for multiple St. Louis animal rescue programs. The Monster Mash team is now preparing for this year’s event, to be held on Oct. 19 at MetroGistics’ corporate headquarters in St. Louis.

This year, MetroGistics has set a goal of raising $40,000 to benefit the three animal rescue programs, and will hold a casino night in the main portion of its office which will include one roulette, one craps and six blackjack tables. In addition, an auction will take place at the end of the night, and prizes will be awarded for best costume.

“We are all very excited to hold this event once again,” said Scott Naz, one of MetroGistics’ owners. “We were impressed by its success last year, and feel that this year will truly set the bar and allow us to do what our company loves — giving back to the community.”
