As Porsche models continued to outpace all other brands in terms of year-over-year increases in consumer activity, NADA Used Car Guide’s newest shopper information showed why pickup prices in the auction lanes are staying so strong.

The three leading vehicles among the Top 15 most-researched used models on NADAguides.com in October were pickups. The Ford F-150 led the way with the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Ram 1500 coming next.

According to NADA UCG’s newest installment of Guidelines, here are the most-researched vehicles on NADAguides.com last month:

6. Ford Mustang

Turning over to consumer activity by brand, Porsche led the way again on NADAguides.com. Thanks to a 27-percent year-over-year increase in October, the European sports car badge now has topped the charts for three months in a row.

A total of 10 brands posted year-over-year jumps of at least 10 percent in October. The complete list of gainers for October included:

—Porsche: up 27 percent
—Suzuki: up 17 percent
—Saab: up 17 percent
—Mercedes-Benz: up 14 percent
—Lincoln: up 13 percent
—Mini: up 13 percent
—Infiniti: up 13 percent
—Audi: up 12 percent
—Mazda: up 12 percent
—Kia: up 11 percent
—Volvo: up 10 percent
—Nissan: up 9 percent
—Mercury: up 9 percent
—Buick: up 9 percent
—Volkswagen: up 8 percent
—GMC: up 8 percent
—Cadillac: up 7 percent
—Saturn: up 7 percent
—Mitsubishi: up 6 percent
—Jeep: up 6 percent
—Lexus: up 6 percent
—Chrysler: up 6 percent
—BMW: up 6 percent
—Acura: up 5 percent
—Subaru: up 5 percent
—Ford: up 2 percent

Meanwhile, a quartet of brands watched their consumer activity levels soften by double digits in October, according to NADA UCG. The rundown of badges with negative year-over-year movements included:

—Land Rover: down 14 percent
—Hyundai: down 13 percent
—Jaguar: down 12 percent
—Hummer: down 10 percent
—Scion: down 8 percent
—Dodge: down 2 percent
—Pontiac: down 1 percent
—Toyota: down 1 percent
—Chevrolet: down 1 percent

Also of note, NADA UCG mentioned Honda’s consumer activity level stayed flat year-over-year in October.
