KAR Auction Services has appointed former Cars.com mobile product leader Joe Oliveri new vice president of the company’s Autoniq business to replace Nicole Archer, who was recently named VP of international business development for KAR.

Oliveri most recently served as Cars.com senior director of product and has spent time in other leadership roles at the digital automotive marketplace as well.

He brings over two decades of automotive industry experience, specifically focused on leveraging iOS and Android mobile products for the automotive industry, according to KAR president of data as a service Kayne Grau.

“His extensive digital and mobile app development experience, strategic mindset and strong leadership with a keen eye towards enhancing the user experience will help propel Autoniq as a digital leader,” Grau said in a news release announcing Oliveri’s appointment.

KAR said Oliveri will now be in charge of Autoniq’s operations and digital product development, while Archer will help develop the companies digital and physical footprint across Europe, in her new role.

Archer was promoted from within the KAR family back in June 2015, just after Autoniq was acquired by KAR. She previously served as director of strategic projects at ADESA.

Along with serving as Cars.com’s mobile product head just prior to joining KAR, the company said Oliveri also held other previous leadership roles at the digital auto marketplace where he managed multimillion-dollar initiatives such as OEM certified programs.
