AFC names VP of operations for its East division
In his new position as vice president of operations for the East division of Automotive Finance Corp. — a business unit of global vehicle remarketing and technology solutions provider KAR Auction Services — Kyle Maurer now has operational leadership over 80 AFC branch or site locations.
In announcing Maurer’s promotion, KAR said Maurer in his new position will spearhead all AFC field operations and ensure the company follows a “local-market approach.” He will also lead efforts to see that the company “actualizes” AFC’s “people-first” vision in the areas of customers and employees.
In his previous position with AFC as senior director of business solutions, Maurer played an instrumental role in AFC’s Salesforce design and implementation, according to KAR. For that work, he was the operations team’s business administrator, ensuring strong change management and adoption of the CRM tool. AFC said that in spearheading the company’s transformation efforts, Maurer focused on AFC’s most urgent needs, and the company said that resulted in more efficient processes, improved customer impact, and a boost in the bottom line.
Maurer joined AFC as regional manager in 2007. Prior to that, he was with Ford Motor Credit for four years and with Citizens Bank for almost five years.
AFC president Jim Money described Maurer as “a proven operations leader” and “a dedicated coach” who has led teams in producing top achievement and bottom-line results.
“I know he will be instrumental in cultivating an environment where our dedication to service is unmatched, and our dealers have the tools they need to grow their business,” Money said.
