Eric Autenrieth takes office as new NAAA president
Eric Autenrieth has begun his tenure as president of the National Auto Auction Association.
Autenreith officially took office for the 2023-2024 term Thursday, succeeding outgoing president Garrison Hudkins in a passing of the gavel ceremony during the 2023 NAAA World Remarketing Convention in Chicago.
Autenrieth currently serves as CEO of the Stanley-Autenrieth Auto Auction Group, which has earned Auction of the Year awards from multiple commercial accounts under his leadership.
The veteran of nearly 30 years in the auto auction industry, has served as president of NAAA’s Midwest and Southern chapters, as well as ServNet Auction Group. He is a member of NAAA’s Executive Committee and has also served on NAAA’s Legislative/PAC and Safety committees.
He is a graduate of Auction Academy and is CAR certified.
Autenrieth grew up in the auto auction industry. His parents, Henry and Patty Stanley, are owners of the Stanley Autenrieth Auction Group, which consists of Indiana Auto Auction and Carolina Auto Auction. Both are members of the NAAA Hall of Fame, and Henry Stanley served as NAAA president in 2000.
Eddie Lafferty elected as vice president
Manheim Seattle general manager Eddie Lafferty was elected as NAAA vice president during an all-member meeting at the 2023 NAAA World Remarketing Convention in Chicago.
Lafferty began 35-year auto industry career in retail, working in the sales, finance and service departments for several auto dealerships in Washington state. He moved to the wholesale side of the business in 2008 when he joined Manheim, starting in a client services role.
In 2013, he was promoted to assistant general manager of Manheim Seattle, moved up to general manager of Manheim Nevada two years later, and in 2019 returned to Manheim Seattle as GM.
Lafferty currently serves on NAAA’s Education and Training Committee. He has also been involved with the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance, Washington State Independent Auto Dealers Association and Washington State Auto Dealers Association.
