Charitable Adult Rides and Services (CARS), a San Diego-based nonprofit that helps organizations increase fundraising through vehicle and real estate donation programs, has launched its second annual Cartober campaign, a month-long awareness initiative designed to promote the power of vehicle donations in supporting nonprofits.

The campaign includes Disabled American Veterans, San Diego public television station KPBS, the American Kidney Fund, SPCA Monterey County and Goodwill SoCal as “featured partners”.

In a news release, CARS said Cartober “harnesses the spirit of charitable giving during the fall season.” The organization said it wants to build on the success of last year’s inaugural event to “amplify the impact of vehicle donations” as a way individuals can contribute to their communities.

The campaign encourages people to donate cars, trucks, RVs, boats and other vehicles to benefit their chosen nonprofits.

“The mission of Cartober,” CARS vice president of marketing Justin Ruffier said, “is to celebrate vehicle donors for their incredible gifts while highlighting the impact on the nonprofit. It’s really a month-long celebration.”

CARS said Cartober offers a “seamless” donation process, making it easy for individuals to contribute to their chosen causes.

Donors can visit cartober.com to learn more about the campaign, choose their preferred nonprofit beneficiary and complete the donation process online.
