PRINCETON, N.J. — The NAFA Fleet Management Association and the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators will hold their respective annual conferences together next spring.

Both the NAFA 2011 Institute & Expo and the NCSFA annual conference will be held from April 9 through April 12 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C.

NCSFA had canceled its event for this year because of economic reasons and the travel restrictions that government employees were facing as part of that.

Officials said that typically, there are close to 2,000 fleet professionals attending the NAFA conference, which usually includes vast education and training sessions, networking and social opportunities as well as a floor exhibit they claimed to be "unmatched in the industry in both size and scope."

"For over 25 years, NCSFA provided a unique forum where state fleet administrators could network and share best management practices," shared Chris Hoffman, who is the president of NCSFA and the transportation manager for Oklahoma State University.

"By partnering with NAFA and joining their annual event, NCSFA can be a part of the largest fleet gathering in the world and provide our members with even more value than before," Hoffman continued.

Chris Amos, NAFA president and commissioner of equipment services for the City of St. Louis, added: "We are very pleased to welcome NCSFA into NAFA's big tent. I&E has something for everyone, regardless of the type of fleet you manage or who you manage it for, so NCSFA will fit very naturally.

"I hope we can grow this partnership into a long-lasting tradition," Amos concluded.
