Longtime auto auction veteran Tammy Swofford has joined ADESA as senior director of commercial customer solutions.

The company said she will be responsible for managing national accounts.

“Tammy is a talented industry veteran who excels at partnering with customers to understand their needs and then delivering a solution tailored to maximize potential,” ADESA vice president of sales John Combs said in a news release. “Bringing Tammy into ADESA is a testament to our dedication to delivering outstanding customer service at every level of the business and growing our business to meet future demand as well as today’s.”

Swofford nearly 20-year career includes a 10-year stint as national sales and marketing director of America’s Auto Auction, as well as positions with Manheim DFW, ADESA Dallas, Alliance Auto Auction in Longview, Texas, and most recently as vice president of national accounts for McConkey Auction Group.

She was honored as one of Cherokee Media Group’s Women in Remarketing in 2018 and was named a Warren Young Fellow by the National Auto Auction Association in 2021.

EBlock New Orleans adds GM, GSM

EBlock New Orleans announced via LinkedIn the additions of Renee Torina as general manager and Bridget Higginbotham as general sales manager.

Torina’s 27 years of auto auction experience includes 20 years with Manheim and its parent company Cox Automotive, serving in leadership roles at Manheim New Orleans, Manheim Chicago, Cox Automotive corporate and most recently as assistant GM for Manheim Lafayette in Lafayette, La.

She replaces Jacob Warren, who was named vice president and chief operating officer of Central Arkansas Auto Auction last month.

Higginbotham has been with EBlock New Orleans — formerly Louisiana’s 1st Choice Auto Auction until it was acquired by EBlock in 2022 — for 20 years, serving in multiple positions including director of sales, director of marketing, sales manager and assistant GM. She is a graduate of the Auction Academy and the Disney Dynamic Leadership Institute.
