The Clement Auto Group has acquired Marty Cancila Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Florissant, Mo., according to the Tim Lamb Group, which brokered the transaction.

A news release indicated the dealership near St. Louis now will operate as Clement Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Florissant.

Tim Wild, director of the Midwest and Plains Region for the Tim Lamb Group, indicated Marty Cancila Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram became available because the previous owner, Tony Cancila, is retiring.

“I’ve known Tim Wild for many years, and we have had discussions about potential deals for quite some time. I’m pleased that we were finally able to make it happen,” Clement Auto Group owner and president Raj Clement said in the news release.

Clement Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Florissant has 50,500 square feet of space, including 34 service bays and a nearby full-service body shop.

The interior of the showroom is currently undergoing renovations with aspirations of expanding the service center to increase the service capacity at this dealership and to account for the growing needs of their nearby Clement Pre-Owned Store.

Clement Auto Group currently owns four dealerships in Missouri and one in Illinois that offer Ford, Hyundai, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Mitsubishi vehicles, along with two large pre-owned stores in Missouri.

“Selling to a local dealer is a very delicate situation. Raj was sensitive to the Cancila family concerns as he moved through the purchasing process,” Wild said. “Working with Raj and being able to provide him with another store that will help to not only expand his business, but the community outreach efforts that his company is so deeply involved in, was personally rewarding.”

Maroone Auto Group raises money for veterans

On Sunday, the Mike Maroone Auto Group hosted the seventh annual Charity Honda and Acura Show, benefiting Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity. The six-hour event took place at Mike Maroone Honda Colorado Springs.

Last year’s event raised $17,000 for the Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity Veterans Build.

The event gave entrants the opportunity to showcase their Honda and Acura vehicles from the 1980s to present. Cars were judged and awarded at a ceremony for categories such as People’s Choice, Most Unique and Best Race Car.

Family-friendly activities included face painting, a Hot Wheels play area, and tug of war. Plus, food from local vendors and live music added to the festivities.

All proceeds from the event supported the Habitat for Humanity Veterans House. This program provides affordable and comfortable homes for veterans, as well as offering employment opportunities and advocating for their needs.

“The generosity and hard work of the Mike Maroone Auto Group team are making a real difference in the lives of local veterans,” said Iain Probert, chief strategy officer at Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity. “We’re excited to see what we can achieve this coming year.”
