J.P. Morgan powers Danish firm’s move into U.S. to boost EV charging payments

A Danish company is bringing its payment technology for electric vehicle charging to America, with help from J.P. Morgan.
The financial services firm said Monta an EV charging platform based in Denmark, is expanding to the U.S., aiming to strengthen the payment experience for EV network operators and turnkey providers, a system powered by J.P. Morgan.
Monta opened its first opened its first U.S. office, in Miami, in September.

Through its platform, J.P. Morgan said, Monta provides EV charging businesses with immediate access to revenue, secure fund management and payment security for their customers, helping businesses solve challenges such as delayed revenue access, payment security concerns, manual reconciliation and compliance risks, which can hinder cash flow, operational efficiency and the ability to scale.
Monta’s payment system is designed to provide seamless payment collection, instant fund access and transparent financial reconciliation that is fully compliant with U.S. financial regulations, removing reliance on third-party fund holders.
