McGee Toyota’s new home is now open.

The McGee Automotive Family this week announced the opening of McGee Toyota of Putnam in Putnam, Conn., the new home of what was previously McGee Toyota of Dudley in nearby Dudley, Mass.

The Massachusetts-based dealership group said the move was made “to better serve customers through modernized amenities, expanded service capabilities and a refreshed environment that emphasizes comfort and convenience,” adding the new facility includes an advanced service center with additional bays, master technicians and improved diagnostic equipment to provide shorter wait times and “consistent, high-quality” results.

“This move isn’t just about a fresh address,” dealer principal Rob McGee said. “It’s about evolving to meet the needs of our valued customers. By investing in top-tier technology, design and training, we’re reaffirming our longstanding promise of integrity, transparency, and quality in every interaction.”

General manager Rich Geremia said it’s not just the building that’s been upgraded.

“We’ve redesigned our processes with customer satisfaction at the forefront,” he said. “Whether you’re here for a quick oil change or exploring the latest Toyota innovations, our goal is to ensure every guest feels at home and informed every step of the way.”

McGee Toyota of Putnam will celebrate the new location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in early May.

According to its social media posts, the McGee Automotive Family, which operates 14 dealerships in 12 locations, is also preparing to relocate its Audi/BMW/Volkswagen store in Pittsfield, Mass., to a new facility under construction in Lenox, Mass.

CDK extends deal with Great Lakes Auto Group

CDK has retained another longtime client.

The dealership retail software provider announced a multi-year renewal of its agreement with Great Lakes Auto Group, a minority-owned dealership group that operates in Ohio and New York.

CDK said the group’s nine current dealerships and two future locations will use the CDK Dealership Xperience, an open and integrated platform designed to connect the consumer-to-dealer buying journey into a single transaction, as well as CDK Network Solutions, which the company said simplifies dealership internet connectivity while maximizing network speed.

Great Lakes Auto Group has been a CDK customer for more than 20 years.

“Delivering outstanding customer service throughout the car shopping and buying journey involves understanding and anticipating our customers’ needs,” Great Lakes Auto Group president Joey Huang said, “ensuring they feel valued and supported at every stage. Great Lakes Auto Group is dedicated to making the shopping experience enjoyable and stress-free, from the moment customers walk through our doors to when they drive away in their new vehicle. Our partnership with CDK guarantees our customers continue to receive the exceptional experience they have come to expect and appreciate.”
