The people have spoken.
And what they’ve said to Kelley Blue Book is, “We love Honda.”
Honda dominated KBB’s 2025 Consumer Choice Awards, nearly sweeping the non-luxury categories with five wins, including Best Overall Brand. The Japanese automaker was also named the Most Trusted Brand, the Best Value Brand, the Best In-Vehicle Experience Brand and even the Best Performance Brand, with KBB citing the Honda lineup’s “excellent steering and handling” with the “track-ready” 315-horsepower Civic Type R “at the top of the list.”
The awards are based on consumer perception data from Kelley Blue Book’s annual Brand Watch study, which tracks perceptions, trends and attitudes about new vehicles from more than 12,000 in-market new-vehicle shoppers who plan to purchase within the next 12 months. The study looks at how shoppers perceive the factors driving their purchase decisions as well as brand/model familiarity and purchase consideration.
Honda was praised for everything from its wide range of models, quality engineering and advanced technology to practicality, reliability, safety, comfort and amenities. The brand’s win the Best Value category extended a streak of victories that began in 2015.
Dodge broke up Honda’s hold in the non-luxury awards by claiming the Best Car Styling Brand title.
Among luxury brands, Porsche was named Best Overall for the first time in 10 years and also earned recognition as the Most Refined Luxury Brand and Best Performance Luxury Brand. BMW won as the Best Car Styling Luxury Brand and Acura was selected as the Best Value Luxury Brand.
The Best Overall Truck Brand award went to Toyota, which reclaimed the title after RAM won in 2024, while Lexus won as Best Overall EV/Hybrid Brand for the first time.
