DAYTON, Ohio -
If a dealership has WebMakerX website through Reynolds Web Solutions,  the store is now being provided a free mobile version of it site, meaning the dealer can now more easily connect with shoppers who are on the go.
The upgrade was revealed this week by Reynolds, which said the mobile sites are built to fit any mobile device that can access the Internet. These sites include elements that shoppers could find on a traditional website, such as vehicle inventory and store contact information, according to the company.
“Over the past decade, we’ve seen a number of changes in the Web that impact how consumers shop for cars and interact with dealerships online,” stated Trey Hiers, Reynolds’ vice president of corporate marketing. “It’s not enough for dealerships to have a website that works solely on a consumer’s desktop PC.
“More and more, consumers are looking for mobile websites — where they can shop for a car or schedule a service appointment anytime, anywhere, on any device,” he further noted. “That’s why we’re enhancing the value of our traditional WebMakerX websites by adding a free mobile site for dealers.”
Hiers added: “Mobile websites are an easy and effective way for dealerships to connect with consumers on their time and in their preferred form of communication. Plus, a mobile site is one of the fundamental building blocks for a dealership’s digital marketing strategy.”
Furthermore, Reynolds Web Solutions is providing additional mobile marketing tools that dealers can use to boost their mobile presence even more. Specifically, it is providing inbound and outbound text messaging and a send-to-mobile widget, as well as other tools.
Officials said the free mobile site is just the latest in a series of upgrades and new products that Reynolds Web Solutions has provided recently.
