AutoNation: Nov. New-Car Sales Grow Across Board
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -
AutoNation enjoyed double-digit growth in retail new-vehicle sales during November, showing increases across all three of its operating segments.
Specifically, the dealer group posted retail new-vehicle sales of 15,511 units. This was up 16 percent year-over-year.
Breaking it down by the company’s three operating segments (domestic, import and premium luxury), AutoNation showed a 25-percent uptick in new-vehicle retail sales in the domestic segment, as these reached 4,594 units.
There were 7,944 units sold on the import side, which marked a 15-percent gain, while the premium luxury segment grew by 5 percent to 2,973 units sold.
Taking a look at how the fourth quarter has started, October and November retail new-vehicle sales reached a combined 33,041 units. This is up 15 percent from the year-ago period.
