Manheim Partners with Dealer Group
ATLANTA -
Manheim announced Wednesday it has reached a deal with The Van Tuyl Group, which manages and provides a slew of services to about 65 dealers throughout the U.S.
Under the partnership, increased vehicle volumes will be sent to Manheim and Van Tuyl will be able to offer OVE.com to its dealers and sellers. Moreover, Van Tuyl will be able to offer its buyers the benefits of using Manheim Financial Services.
Per the partnership, Van Tuyl’s Metro Auto Auction — which is out of Phoenix — will serve as an OVE.com facilitating location. As most know, these are the physical auctions OVE.com uses to guarantee title and money in its transactions.
When Van Tuyl opens its auction in Dallas, it will be a facilitating location, as well.
Furthermore, Metro Auto Auction and MAFS already have an existing relationship. When the Dallas auction opens, it, too, will be able to tap into the services of MAFS.
“This is a significant partnership for Manheim and a strategic move for The Van Tuyl Group, as they continue to acquire new stores in new markets,” stated Susie Heins, Manheim’s vice president of major dealers.
“The Van Tuyl family has had a long history within the automotive industry, and we believe our corporate cultures make a great fit in terms of our shared values, our commitment to technology and our focus on quality customer service,” she continued.
Kent Montgomery, of Van Tuyl, added: “We’re excited about this new partnership with Manheim, as it allows us to offer a new range of value-added services for our customers.
“By tapping into the power of OVE.com, our dealers and sellers will gain access to the nation’s top online sales channels for their inventory. Offering Manheim Financial Services to our buyer base also gives them another well-respected and trusted option for their extensive floor-planning needs,” he noted.
