Launched this month, consumers who log on through AutoBreeze.com can anonymously request and review new-vehicle bids from participating local dealers then see the process through to signing the papers at the showroom.

Unlike other online automotive websites that provide quality research, AutoBreeze.com officials contend they can provide the tools that help buyers negotiate the actual walk-out cost of the vehicle, including all costs and additional fees a buyer will pay in order to purchase the unit.

The process includes three steps that shoppers can complete on their own computer:

—Buyers first register and request a bid on the type of new vehicle they want to purchase, along with providing information on their trade-in, if desired.

—Within 24 hours, buyers can receive and review up to five competitive bids from local dealers and can then anonymously negotiate with the dealer.

—Once a bid has been accepted, the buyer visits the dealership, inspects the vehicle and then completes a sales contract based on the price negotiated.

The cost of using AutoBreeze.com is a one-time fee of $19.99, which allows a buyer access to the service until such time as any vehicle is purchased using the system.

To entice buyer participation, site officials are giving a $100 pre-paid Visa/MasterCard debit card to customers who complete a transaction through the AutoBreeze.com system by Feb. 21 and complete a short survey about the experience.

“For most people, hunting and negotiating for the best price on a new car is a stressful and time-consuming process. AutoBreeze.com was specifically created to address these issues,” explained Skip Cass, chief executive officer and president of AutoBreeze.com.

“On this site, buyers can remain anonymous, shop at their convenience and in their own home, and be confident that they’re getting competitive bids from local dealers across north Texas,” Cass concluded.
