INDIANAPOLIS — The Auction Broadcasting Co. named a new chief financial officer recently, and hired to serve in that role is David Newcomer, who was previously the CFO for the radio division of Emmis Communications, a media and communications holding company.

"Dave comes to ABC at the perfect time," explained Mike Hockett, ABC chairman and chief executive officer. 

"Dave's experience in providing support and applying best practices will be invaluable to our team as we increase our footprint across the U.S.," he added.

In his CFO role at his previous post, Newcomer headed up more than 15 acquisitions. These ranged from $15 million to $200 million transactions. Newcomer also oversaw the largest business unit, and participated in the initial public offering of the company as well as secondary offerings.

"Being a part of ABC is a great opportunity for me," Newcomer noted. "I look forward to helping Mike and the rest of the ABC team as we grow our business and enter new markets in the future.

"I am very excited to be a part of a company that focuses on the customer first, with everything else falling into place," he added. "I believe I am on the right bus."
