CARMEL, Ind. — ADESA announced late Wednesday that it has opened a new auction called ADESA Queen City in the Ohio market.

ADESA Queen City joins ADESA Cincinnati-Dayton and ADESA Cleveland in the state.

"The opening of ADESA Queen City strengthens our presence in an economically vibrant area of the Midwest," said Tom Caruso, ADESA president and chief executive officer.

"Located in the heart of greater Cincinnati, it's a great fit for ADESA strategically because it allows us to now serve the entire metropolitan area," he continued.

So where did the auction get its name? Officials said Cincinnati is affectionately called the "Queen of the West" or "Queen City" by locals.

"The Cincinnati area has been a strong dealer consignment market for several years," pointed out Geoff Parker, ADESA Cincinnati-Dayton general manager. "So we were pleased by this opportunity to give our dealers an additional source for inventory."

In addition to his current position, Parker will also serve as the GM of ADESA Queen City.

Beth Troup, a 35-year auto industry veteran, will oversee the day-to-day operations at ADESA Queen City and will report directly to Parker.

"Beth is an excellent fit for this new location. She grew up in this business and really understands our dealers' unique customer service and support needs," Parker noted.

The facility has been completely renovated and offers reconditioning, in addition to mechanical and transportation services.

Dealers will have access to on-site financing via Automotive Finance Corp. (a subsidiary of ADESA's parent company KAR Auction Services). The new auction will also offer 24-hour vehicle reception and storage.

All sales will be simulcast via ADESA LiveBlock, with units also available on ADESA DealerBlock, according to officials.

The auction will host a dealer consignment sale every Wednesday. The new auction is at 8200 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237. For more information, call (513) 761-1034.

With the new facility opening, ADESA now has 63 whole car auctions in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
