CHICAGO -

In what may prove to be favorable for dealership traffic, Cars.com said Tuesday that now is the time for buyers to find discounted new vehicles. And as dealers make way for 2012 model-year vehicles, Cars.com listed what it has found to be the best deals on 2011 model-year units.

“Historically, this is a great time to buy vehicles that don’t change much for the next model year because you get all the comforts of a new model at a lower price,” explained David Thomas, Cars.com auto industry analyst.

“However, manufacturers did a better job managing their inventory this year, and not as many 2011s are available, which is why there aren’t as many fire sales and blowouts,” he continued. “Our list highlights these 2011 deals — and for those interested in any of these cars, now is the best time to buy.”
