Dataium Honors Top Models and Brands Based on 2012 Shopper Intensity
Dataium, an aggregator of online automotive shopper behavior, announced the recipients of its first annual ASI (Auto Shopper Intensity) Awards. Honors were awarded to winners in 21 vehicle segments.
Toyota dominated this year’s award rundown by taking the top spot in several categories. Seven of its models — the Prius, RAV4, Tundra, Camry, Highlander, Sequoia and Tacoma — received awards for ranking highest in their respective segments, while the Corolla, Avalon, Sienna and Prius C were recognized for ranking in the top three.
Other top award winners included Nissan and Honda, which each received three awards for their respective Nissan/Infiniti and Honda/Acura brands.
The firm explained that the award winners were selected by analyzing over 200 million shopping sessions and isolating those makes and models that rose to the top of the Dataium ASI index, a comprehensive forecast of consumer intent and shopping intensity.
According to Dataium chief executive officer Eric Brown, “Building great cars that consumers desire is the goal of every auto professional. To recognize those who have excelled is an honor. Our sincerest congratulations to all of this year’s winners.”
