ATLANTA -

Though luxury vehicles continue to be the hardest used models to find, a few SUVs stood out in July — proving elusive for dealers looking to satisfy summer family road trippers and customers in the market for a roomier vehicle. 

According to the latest installment of vehicle scarcity data that is provided monthly to Auto Remarketing by AutoTrader.com, one of the groups that caught the sites attention were the CPO Jeep SUVs, which proved scarce in a few designated market areas.

The CPO Jeep Grand Cherokee came in at No. 10 in in San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, after not being on the list at all in June.  

And the CPO Jeep Wrangler came in at No. 6 in Houston (not on the list in June), No. 8 in Los Angeles (up one spot from June)

Another SUV that popped up on the lists this July was the Volksagen Touareg, which landed on both the CPO and used lists in Houston and San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose. The CPO version also landed on the list in Dallas-Ft. Worth.

The full breakdown: The CPO Volkswagen Touareg came in at No. 6 in Dallas-Ft. Worth (up three spots from June), No. 3 in Houston (not on list in June), No. 7 in San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose (unchanged from June).

The used Volkswagen Touareg came in at No. 9 in Houston (not on the list in June) and  No. 10 in San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose (down five from June), AutoTrader.com reported.

Wrapping up the SUV spottings, the Toyota Sequoia landed on both the CPO and used lists in Atlanta and Chicago. The CPO version also landed on the list in several DMAs:

— CPO Toyota Sequoia came in at No. 5 in Atlanta (up two spots from June), No. 6 in Boston (not on the list in June), No. 6 in Chicago (not on the list in June), No. 10 in Houston (not on the list in June)

— Used Toyota Sequoia came in at No. 8 in Atlanta (not on the list in June), No. 10 in Chicago (not on the list in June)

AutoTrader also pointed out that the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, both the CPO and used, landed on the scarcity lists across several DMAs, as well.

— CPO Hyundai Genesis Coupe came in at No. 7 in Chicago (up three spots from June), No. 8 in Dallas-Ft. Worth (not on the list in June), No. 4 in Houston (up four spots from June), No. 5 in Philadelphia (up four spots from June), No. 9 in Washington, D.C. (not on the list in June).

— Used Hyundai Genesis Coupe came in at No. 7 in Dallas-Ft. Worth (not on the list in June), No. 7 in Dallas Ft. Worth (not on the list in June), No. 10 in Philadelphia (not on the list in June).
