SAN DIEGO -
During last week’s CPO Forum, Charlie Vogelheim, of IntelliChoice.com, announced the top manufacturer-backed certified pre-owned programs.
Vogelheim told attendees the nominees for the best “popular” brand included Honda, Hyundai, Mini, Kia and Volkswagen.
He then revealed the winner is Mini, which also took home honors for best warranty program.
Meanwhile, for the premium category, Vogelheim announced the nominees included Cadillac, Jaguar, Lexus, Saab and Volvo.
And taking home the award was Volvo for the fourth consecutive year.
“Consumers are demanding an impartial analysis of the programs that includes title verification, special financing offers and more,” Vogelheim said, indicating that his company took all sorts of CPO goodies the manufacturers offer under consideration when deciding the winners.
While a Mini representative was not on hand to accept the award, Diana Lidgett, pre-owned car line manager for Volvo, was.
She seemed thrilled to be in attendance at the CPO Forum this year.
“On behalf of Volvo, we are honored to be accepting this award. This is an excellent conference and I’m pleased to be here. This is our fourth year earning this recognition. And 2011 promises to be the best year yet for CPO. This is a testament to our program,” Lidgett said.
Volvo offers factory scheduled maintenance Protection Plus+ as a part of its CPO program. Volvo, Carfax, Cars.com and AutoTrader.com websites allow a consumer to search through dealer inventory. The automaker also offers three months of free SIRIUS Satellite radio service on all CPO vehicles sold that are equipped with factory installed SIRIUS Satellite radio.
The overall brand value award went to Infiniti.
This is IntelliChoice.com’s 13th year of naming top CPO programs.
