NADA 2014 Dealership Workforce Study Opens to Dealers at Convention
Dealers interested in taking part in the 2014 NADA Dealership Workforce Study — which offers analysis and data to help them attract and retain quality employees — will have their chance later this month.
Participation in the study opens to dealer members of the National Automobile Dealers Association and American Truck Dealers at the NADA Convention & Expo, set for Jan. 24-27 in New Orleans.
The study is conducted by NADA and ESI Trends (formerly DeltaTrends), and is billed as the industry’s most comprehensive analysis of the dealership workforce, providing dealers with the data to make informed recruiting and hiring decisions.
Dealers may enroll as individual dealerships or dealer groups. The study uses web-based participation that is “totally secure,” said Kenneth Vance, chair of NADA’s Dealership Operations Committee and a new-car dealer in Eau Claire, Wisc.
“This annual study was launched only two years ago, but participating dealers are already overwhelmingly telling us the reports are helping them to improve their workforce management and productivity,” said Vance.
“We’re especially appreciative of the Automotive Trade Association Executives’ efforts to get the word out to dealers in their state and metro areas about the study and the benefit of participating in it,” he added.
At the close of the study, each participating dealership will receive a complimentary individualized report, the Basic Report, comparing its employee compensation, retention and turnover, work schedules, hours of operation and employee benefits programs to data aggregated on regional and national levels.
Participants may purchase an individualized Enhanced Report which further compares their dealership’s data against data for their franchise and state.
All participants will receive a free Dealership Workforce Industry Report offering cogent analysis of the industry as a whole, including state-of-the-workforce and demographic trends, plus aggregated compensation, retention and benefits data for each region of the U.S.
Dealers interested in participating in the study may visit the NADA Dealership Workforce Study kiosk in the NADA Pavilion (Booth No. 3701) or enroll at www.nadaworkforcestudy.com.
