DALLAS — The American Recovery Association deemed its recent North American Repossessors Summit a triumph as hundreds of recovery agencies and industry service providers gathered for a two-day event of constructive dialogue.

The sold-out summit on March 13 and 14 drew more than 300 attendees who participated in various panel discussions and listened to speakers from major lending institutions. Presenters included Santander's chief operating officer Jason Grubb as well as representatives from Chase, AmeriCredit and Capital One.

ARA officials highlighted that the summit provided an open, collaborative environment for all recovery professionals — regardless of location or association affiliation — to address the challenges and complexities facing the industry and lay the foundation for its future.

"Having recovery and lending professionals come together to discuss important and tough issues is imperative for our industry," explained Jim Hall, president of ARA.

"We were able to put aside our differences and work together to ensure our industries accomplish great things together," Hall continued.

All net proceeds from the summit were given to the Recovery Agents Benefit Fund. Sponsors included Dynamic Tow Equipment and Manufacturing, OPENLANE, FLACARS, Digital Recognition Network, MBSi/iRepo, Re-Pros, Recovery Database Network, Geoghan Agency, Global Investigations & Security Consulting, LDM Enterprises, RISC, ConnecTGo, Merlin Data Publishing Corp., Garner Group, Recovery Manager Pro, Recovery Solutions, Walt Cagley Insurance, MasterFiles, The American Repossessor, Atlanta Wrecker Sales, Recovery First Insurance, Miller Industries and RSIG.

The association has already started to plan for its third annual summit. For more details, visit www.reposummit.com.
