DALLAS -

American Recovery Association and Recovery Industry Services Co. recently formed a partnership to offer a continuing education program for ARA’s members and members’ staff.

Association leadership declared the continuing education program created with RISC will help ensure ARA members continue to meet the highest standards for its clients.

As part of the benefits of being an ARA member, the continuing education classes will be offered to ARA members and members’ staff at no cost.

The association explained the one-hour classes will be conducted through online Webinars with three 20-minute sessions. The classes will be held three times a month, so members and employees will be able to match a time with their schedule.

Sessions include:

—The Recovery Process: Laws and Regulations
—Compliance: Policies and Procedures
—Best Practices

ARA’s partnership with RISC is the second major development coming from the association this year.

Back in January, ARA announced the creation of ARMS (American Recovery Management Solutions), a member-owned contract and billing organization. The association explained ARMS was created to improve the recovery industry by meeting the needs of the lending community as well as the recovery agents.

“With ARMS’ commitment to the lending community of 100-percent transparency and the promise to utilize the most well-trained and compliant agents in the nation, it seemed natural for ARA to lead the effort to help our members and our members agencies to prepare to exceed client expectations,” said Mary Jane Hogan, president of ARA.

RISC president Stamatis Ferarolis added, “RISC is pleased to offer our curriculum to the members of ARA.

“With certification training and compliance being at the forefront of the industry, ARA has once again shown its commitment to staying ahead of current events,” Ferarolis concluded.
