Asbury Streamlines Technology Partners
DULUTH, Ga. — Asbury Automotive Group recently revealed the companies it chose to handle technology needs of 80 dealerships following an extensive IT strategic review.
In order to deploy a common dealer management system, Asbury executives decided to go with Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing.
Additionally, Asbury's management highlighted a partnership with DealerTrack Holdings. Executives plan to use DealerTrack as their preferred software provider for F&I and inventory management solutions, including credit application processing, compliance and DealerTrack AAX.
Asbury pointed out that it does not anticipate any material near-term financial impact. Instead, the company expects productivity improvements from its new IT infrastructure, which is targeted to be fully implemented by the summer of 2011.
"Over the past few months, Asbury, along with our technology partners, has conducted an in-depth review of our IT strategy and infrastructure," explained Asbury's president and chief executive officer Charles Oglesby.
"I am pleased to announce our decision to partner with both ADP and DealerTrack to provide best-in-class enterprise technologies for our employees and customers," Oglesby continued.
"We are excited about the path we are taking, and look forward to a long, productive relationship with our key IT partners," he added.
One of those partners, Steve Anenen, president of ADP Dealer Services, shared his enthusiasm about the relationship with Asbury.
