BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -

It was recently announced that the AuctionACCESS dealer registration system from AutoTec has now expanded its reach to five new locations, including businesses in Nevada, Texas and Tennessee.

New participating members include Airport Auto Auction, in Alcoa, Tenn.; ADESA Las Vegas, in North Las Vegas, Nev.; Dealer’s Auto Auction of Huntsville, in Athens, Ala.; America’s Auto Auction of Pittsburgh, in Washington, Penn.; and America’s Auto Auction of Dallas, in Irving, Texas.

"With AuctionACCESS continuing to streamline the dealer registration process — most recently with the announcement of our upcoming AuctionACCESS mobile app — it’s a better time than ever for these five auctions to join the AuctionACCESS family," said Chuck Redden, president and chief executive officer of AutoTec.

AuctionACCESS went live at Airport Auto Auction on Apr. 12; at ADESA Las Vegas on June 14; at Dealer’s Auto Auction of Huntsville on June 20; at America’s Auto Auction of Pittsburgh on July 5; and at America’s Auto Auction of Dallas on July 11.

Moreover, AutoTec training specialist Cliff Honeycutt conducted on-site AuctionACCESS training at all of these locations, company officials noted.

AuctionACCESS aims to simplify the auction registration and license system by allowing dealers to use an identification card for entry at participating wholesale auto auctions throughout the country.

“It is also a valuable security measure, keeping out curbstoners and unlicensed dealers,” the company stressed.

In more recent company news, Auto Remarketing reported this past spring that AuctionACCESS is developing a new mobile app that it says will allow dealers to utilize their smartphones to manage their AuctionACCESS memberships and gain access to auctions.

At the time of the release, Redden offered his opinion on the new mobile tool: “With this app, access to our participating auction locations has never been simpler or more convenient.”

“Dealers will be able to view their AuctionACCESS membership information from anywhere and get into auctions as quickly as possible, giving them that much more time to buy and/or sell their inventory.”

He added: “All dealers carry an AuctionACCESS card in their wallet, but this new app gives the concept of having your membership in your pocket a whole new meaning.”
