ATLANTA -
On the heels of making several major acquisitions, AutoTrader.com announced Monday that it has tapped a veteran of parent company Cox Enterprises to serve as its chief financial officer.
Stepping into the role Feb. 7 will be Dallas Clement. His most recent post was as Cox Communications’ executive vice president and chief strategy officer.
His new duties will include heading up the finance, business development and facilities departments at AutoTrader.com
“Dallas is a seasoned and respected financial executive whose rich set of experiences and capabilities will be a significant addition to AutoTrader.com,” explained AutoTrader.com president and chief executive officer Chip Perry.
“With his 20-year tenure at both Cox Enterprises and Cox Communications, I am confident that Dallas will add considerable value as we continue to manage AutoTrader.com for long-term success,” Perry added.
Looking at Clement’s career in more detail, the company revealed he also served as Cox Communications’ treasurer for four years in the early stage of his CCI tenure.
Clement was instrumental in CCI becoming a public company in 1995, according to officials. He also helped in the growth and financial strategy positioning at CCI as it went through its first decade as a public company.
Furthermore, Clement received the 2004 Cable Television Association Vanguard Award for Young Leadership.
