GAINSEVILLE, Ga. -

Black Book has selected a new director of automotive licensing, tapping an industry veteran with deep roots in the automotive world.

Black Book on Wednesday announced that Jared Kalfus has joined the company in this director role, in which he is responsible for leading Black Book’s efforts to increase data licensing revenue to OEMs, dealers and value-added resellers who serve the dealer community.

Tom Cross, president of Black Book, said, “I am delighted to have Jared join our senior leadership. He comes to us with a deep automotive background and significant exposure to the latest ideas and technologies that are rapidly becoming the new standards in retail.”

Kalfus’ automotive career began at Enterprise Rent a Car. He later joined CarsDirect.com, before moving to Manheim, where he served as executive director of sales operations for the Western United States.

Most recently, Kalfus was vice president of sales for social media management firm Digital Air Strike.

“I am excited about joining the Black Book organization,” said Kalfus. “Throughout my automotive career, I have relied on Black Book’s values and have always had a great deal of respect for both the organization and the individuals who work here. I’m proud to have been asked to become a part of the team.”
