SACRAMENTO, Calif. -

The executive committee of the California Association of Collectors accepted the resignation of president Jerry Greenblatt so he could focus on his health.

The association mentioned Greenblatt has faced a number of health challenges in recent years and most recently suffered a stroke.

Officials described Greenblatt as a champion of the association within the state and nationally, serving as an ACA International director as well as on CAC’s board of governors and executive committee, strategic planning committee and national relations committee. They also noted he served ACA on a task force for the Federal Trade Commission.

Greenblatt has received the President’s Award, Gus Cohen Hershey Award and the Richard J. Bullock Award from CAC during the past 10 years.

“ACA International joins the CAC executive committee and CAC staff in wishing Jerry well as he focuses on his health concerns,” officials stated.
