DEARBORN, Mich. -

Digital marketing company ChannelNet recently revealed it has picked an auto industry veteran to serve on its board.

Tapped as the newest board member is AJ Wagner, president of AJ Wagner & Associates LLC, and former president of Ford Motor Credit Co. North America, and corporate vice president of Ford Motor Co. 

Commenting on the news, Paula Tompkins, ChannelNet chief executive officer and founder, said, "AJ is a terrific addition to our board.

“AJ’s appointment brings unparalleled expertise that will play a key role in advising ChannelNet’s development of next generation automotive industry solutions,” she continued.

The company also noted that Wagner has decades of leadership experience in the automotive industry.

Wagner was responsible for the field organization serving Ford, Lincoln Mercury, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Mazda dealers, commercial lending services and the major accounts unit at Ford Motor Credit, they further explained.

Moreover, Wagner’s leadership includes automotive marketing, dealer relations, brand relationships and operations management where he ran a multi-billion dollar a year profit center.

Wagner also expressed his enthusiasm for his new position: "As a leader in user-centered design, ChannelNet is in the automotive industry vanguard providing both dealers and vehicle owners with innovative solutions and capabilities online.

"I look forward to serving as a board member as ChannelNet continues to innovate for an evolving industry striving to serve rapidly evolving dealer and customer needs,” he added.
